Buyer's Digest

Use this page as a product-first sourcing checkpoint before sending an RFQ. Category: Low Voltage Switchgear. Confirm application fit, capacity, materials, destination, lead time and compliance requirements before comparing suppliers.

Original product description

The MDmax ST is a customizable, modular low-voltage switchgear assembly for three-phase distribution and related AC or DC power systems. Its functional-unit options include drawer-type, movable, and insert-type configurations.

The drawer-type design can accommodate up to 36 circuits and supports three-position circuit switching without reducing the stated enclosure protection level. The assembly is listed with rated insulation voltages of 690/1000 V AC, three-phase, and 1500 V DC.

Rated operating voltage is 400/690 V AC, three-phase, or 750 V DC, with a rated operating frequency of 60 Hz. Published bus ratings include a main-bus current up to 6300 A and a distribution-bus current up to 2000 A.

The stated short-circuit ratings reach 220 kA peak and 100 kA short-time withstand for the main bus, and 176 kA peak and 80 kA short-time withstand for the distribution bus. Final ratings depend on the selected configuration and should be confirmed in the approved technical schedule.

The frame uses double-folded-edge construction with aluminum-zinc-coated sheet. Internal compartment panels and component mounting plates are also described as aluminum-zinc coated, while the outer shell is finished in glossy gray electric paint identified as RAL 7035. The horizontal busbar-area top cover is removable.

The stated enclosure protection rating is up to IP54, and internal compartment separation is available up to Form 4b. Recommended cabinet dimensions include a height of 2200 mm;widths of 400, 600, 800, 1000, or 1200 mm;and depths of 600, 800, 1000, or 1200 mm.

These are recommended values rather than a final project configuration. The listed structure uses a 25 mm module. The stated indoor operating conditions include a short-term maximum temperature of 40°C, a maximum 24-hour average of 35°C, and a minimum temperature of -5°C.

At 40°C, the listed surrounding relative humidity is 50%. Derating is required outside the stated temperature limits and for installation altitudes above 2000 m. Where condensation may occur, ventilation or heating measures should be considered inside the switchgear.

Before procurement, the buyer should confirm the single-line diagram and floor plan;rated operating voltage and current;protective-device settings;incoming and outgoing cable specifications;required component makes, models, quantities, and ratings;and any bus bridge or bus duct dimensions.

Also confirm the required functional-unit arrangement, enclosure rating, compartment separation, cabinet dimensions, surface color, monitoring interfaces, site altitude, ambient conditions, and any special environmental requirements.

Request model-specific documentation showing which listed standards, certifications, electrical ratings, and digital functions apply to the final engineered assembly.

  • For time-sensitive projects, include target arrival date and destination.
  • For special applications, describe operating condition, installation environment and duty cycle.

FAQ

What should buyers confirm first?

Confirm application, specification, quantity, destination and lead-time requirements before comparing offers.

Can buyers inquire when specs are incomplete?

Yes. Add model, material, size, use case and inspection needs in the RFQ to make replies comparable.

How should this listing be evaluated?

Check title, category, specifications and related keywords against the actual sourcing requirement.
